Rainy week
This week is suppose to be rainy, which I love except for the roof leaking at work. Once again the roofers had to be called last night as everyone was leaking due to the afternoon storm. I really wonder if the contractor will use these roofers again. I came home last night to a wonderful meal made by Preston. Then was able to do a little knitting on my shawl. I really like this pattern Tre O Molti so much. This is the second one I am knitting this time with Shi Bui sock yarn which is making me very happy. The designer has another pattern coming out in a few days. I can't wait.

Weekend recap
As my summer break ended this weekend, I knitted on my many different projects, two of which aren't shown. I drank coffee, napped, and just ate good food. We were on sound/visual this weekend at church which is a great way to get back into the work environment for me. My boss had the weekend off from praise band and was actually out of town. I am hoping to finish sock one of the gray pair of socks this week along with the first square of the blanket.

Friday that feels like a Monday
When a Friday is starting to feel like a Monday it is time to go back to bed. I had a great walk this morning, then I made myself some bulletproof coffee, took a picture, posted it to instagram and then spilled the coffee all over the deck. Then I had another issue a moment ago, so after a normal cup of coffee and a muffin that is where I am head for a early nap and maybe read. After all it is the last 'work' day of my vacation as the weekend is full of normal weekend stuff.
It was a great cup of coffee, what little I had of it!

A few days in the woods
As it happens each year in July, it is summer break for my work. This time is a little different. No grand road trips, but a little fun none the less. After running errands on Monday, hubby and I set off for the woods not too far from home. We tried a different campground. It was almost totally empty.
Then after a weird experience, we decided to leave that campground and go up the road a little further. I am so glad we did. We found a tiny campground with four sites, tents only right by the river. So we set up camp and kicked back for two nights. I got a bunch of knitting done and hubby got some major reading in. It was awesome. Now we are home again and ready for the next part of our vacation

Start of Summer break
This begins my summer vacation, one week off from work. This time we are staying around with maybe a quick camping trip. Friday night was relaxing and headed into Saturday which included yarn shopping and an early birthday dinner for Amy J.
Sunday found us with our old friend visiting from Kansas with their new baby girl. There is just something about cuddling a four week old baby girl. I did a lot of knitting but still working on the finally rows of the shawl.

Wednesday
Wednesday night means knitting and relaxing watching DVD's which was much needed after a day of dealing with the foam snow from the prep of the foam for stucco at work.

MId-Holiday Weekend Update
I walked a bit on the 4th before it got too hot. I have new walking shoes that I love!
Then had a berry smoothie that was more like ice cream than a drink.
Dry Aged steak and grilled carrots just about perfect for the day.
We each viewed our own movies, I like to knit while I watch TV so it is a compromise. Then off to bed some time after midnight. Saturday started with brunch at our favorite restaurant with my parents and oldest brother. Afterwards we ran a series of errands, including getting raw honey right from the hive at the Honey Stop. So yummy. Since we spent a lot of time in the van, I got the 9 inch leg done and started on the heel flap on Preston's new socks.
Preston is currently on a dessert run. I am going to knit on something else for a while. We plan to hit the movies tomorrow. Anything to stay cool.
Preston was doing some computer stuff for me at my office, so I knitted a little while I waited.
After a wonderful lunch out, followed by a great nap and then a little TV, it was cool enough for knitting while Preston grilled dinner.Dry Aged steak and grilled carrots just about perfect for the day.

Start of July
Tuesday found me knitting in the backyard while Preston grilled up our dinner. Tenderloin was yummy. Then Wednesday after dinner out, I finished the 3rd of the blocks or corners.
