Today was employee appreciation day. My company had cookies for everyone but my boss made sure that i felt included by getting cookies and cupcakes all gluten free from one of the local bakerys for the whole team to enjoy.  This meant so much and i don't think he even realizes.

We were up early today to get the house ready for mom's birthday lunch. Coffee was from java Jo's that pookie got to start the day. I grabbed this picture soon after. Many hours later everyone arrived. Salmon, potatoes, and green beans followed by gelato and coffee. Mom, dad, Jeff, Rodney and us had a great time.

Slept in, had a wonderful coffee from javajo's, followed by a 2+ mile walk followed by dallas vs green bay play off game. Packers won but my team did amazing this year. Pizza, cider and even better dinner made the day. In all honesty i didn't really watch much of the game as it was freaky me out due to the intensity so i flipped over to blind side which is my favourite movie.

No pictures for today, just a memory. 20 years ago today Preston and i met for coffee after work at the Barnes and noble by my work. Bubba was there to introduce us. Preston studied there every night after work. We spent many an evening there together in the upcoming months. I am so glad i listened to bubba and took a chance.

Mondays are not my favorite day of the week. Never enough coffee for the day. It was warm today with rain on and off. Niki and i got a nice fast walk in about 10 am. I upped my pace but it felt good. My lunch time walk was a little slower but still a good pace. The day went quickly until the last half hour. But home for a bubble bath and dinner from Pei Wei. Ending the evening with knitting and the college championship game, Alabama versus Clemson. Roll Tide!!! 🏈🏈

Freezing rain this morning meant staying put and knitting. Later we headed to the mall for a 🚶. Then a little football and more knitting.
