There was a lot of knitting to go along with the snow that we received this weekend. Sunday morning we woke up to 6 inches on the ground and by this morning it was 14 inches. By this evening, half had melted but it still looks like a wonderland.
I was able to finish the dreaded 2nd sock for my dad's Christmas present. I know better now than to cast on anything while watching a Harry Potter movie. I finish the Christmas Hat for mr80grit and immediately cast on mine which I will finish this week!!! I have many evening of knitting planned as Christmas decoration was finished this weekend also, more on that in another post.

Last leaves
As I was outside this morning, I got this wonderful photo. It was so full of fall colors. The wind has been blowing since Friday am and is suppose to continue into tonight with snow coming in after. I believe this is the last hurrah for the autumn leaves as now most the trees around me are now bare. I think I am a ready for the next stage with Christmas 35 days away.

2nd sock revisited
This is the second attempt on the second sock. I realized late Wednesday night that the first attempt was short by 8 stitches in width. Of course, I didn't notice until the foot gusset. I guess I should have checked multiple times when casting on in the middle of the Harry Potter movie marathon on Sunday. So hopefully I will have enough knitting time this weekend to get it done. My plan is to have it done before Thanksgiving. I have another project I want to complete before December 1st.

Virtual Vacation
This Saturday while out with Mom, Dad and Hubby having lunch, we took part in my brother MrHarley's trip to New York City. My brother is on the East Coast for work and decided to go see the city. He is a man of few words but it was awesome that he did send photos to my phone so that we could take part.
Greeting from NYC!
I am missing one photo but that is okay. It was great to get them one at a time as he was visiting. I love technology!

Thankful
1) I am thankful for my family and friends that have served our country.
2) I am thankful for a husband that understands me more and more each day
3) I am thankful for my parents and their consistent love and support.
4) I am thankful to live where I can walk in the morning with the snow falling!

Knitting Update!
Well I haven't had a lot of time to knit lately. Seems like we are always on the go. But I did get a little time over the weekend.
