I have finished two more pairs of socks for Texas and only have one left.
It was extremely cold yesterday and although I knew I wouldn't be cold as I have enough lovely handknits to keep me warm, I just wasn't ready for the extreme cold. Luckily today is a lot warmer.
Today we woke up to snow and worship band rehearsal being moved to tomorrow am due to illness. I guess I will have to stay in bed, drinking hot tea , watch something on Netflix and knit.
Today ended up being different than planned but still fun. A trip to unraveled sheep for new sock yarn , lunch with the parents and an evening cuddle with Fergie.
Today was a great day. Amy J and Emily stopped by work to help with a computer issue and they brought gluten free pizza. What a great treat.
After work found us keeping warm over at their house as ours warmed up as today's temperature didn't get over 37℉. We enjoyed dinner and I got a little knitting done. Back home a hot cup of tea and a bubble bath ended the day. A little snow is expected tomorrow with a high 41℉.
Today I realized I was several days behind on my blog. But I am staying on task with my Christmas bed socks. Two pairs completed and one sock of the third pair.
Amy J had a little fender bender in Emily's car this evening so the night is off schedule but after a bubble bath and a wood chuck I will cast on the next sock.
Nobody in our house loves the sun like our 13 year old car Fergie. She will do anything to get to this spot everyday in our bedroom. We don't let the cats in the bedroom while we are sleeping, so they have to wait until we are up and the bed is made. Both cats believe we control the sun and if it is a rainy or snowy day we should be able to bring the sun for them. If we don't we hear about it. They will follow us around the house and will "talk/complain" about it.
Well the cooler days have come, which brings me joy. I took the morning to indulge in hot tea, warm bubble bath and knitting time. A morning walk would have done well also but after an emotional draining weekend having a no hurry morning is just what was needed. I finished my required knitting last night and started on extra knitting today.
I have some goals both knitting and personal ones for November, so let the fun begin!
Well it is Sunday evening and with the time change already dark. But I am loving it as it was a rainy cold day, perfect for napping. I sitting down to finish the last of my required knitting for Christmas, everything after this pair of bedsocks will be extra.
Not many pictures taken this weekend but that is okay. Maybe I will try my hand at the NaBloPoMo 2014, this month. The picture was this morning at band practice before service. Boy that coffee was good.
