Rainy Saturdays

I love when it rains on my day off, especially if I am not feeling good. It gives me an excuse to stay inside, in my pajamas, knit and watch tv. Bonus today was watching the Olympics. I did finish knitting on the cowl, now I just need to do the finishing: hem one end, get buttons and the snaps, see those on and block it. I did make to the girls for the evening, for food, knitting and Olympics. Preston joined us after work to see Sage win gold in snowboarding!

The opening

Today was the opening ceremonies for the Olympics in Sochi. Which meant hanging out with the girls and knitting. I got to the halfway mark on the cowl. It was a real cool ceremony. It was interesting watching with a generation that was too young to understand the break up of the Soviet union like Preston and I experienced. Looking forward to the games.

Mom's day

Today was my mom's birthday. My brother Jeff organized us for dinner, only missing the other brother. We brought dinner to her and dad. It was great fun and filled with joy.

I made a little head way on Sissi's sock, to the start of the heel flap.

Football and socks

Football games always mean knitting socks and today was no exception. I loved that the Seahawks won! Had a great time watching with the girls and bear.
