Finish Projects

I finished reading A Place of Secrets last night after finishing Em's Koolhaas which was delivered this evening. She loves it and was so excited.

I am making real progress on the Koolhaas for my friend Emily and I am reading A place of Secrets.

I am joining the knitting on this project as well as the book. I have only a few more pages left of the book. I would recommend this book.

Last week I finished two knitting projects the baby afghan and the odessa hat. I also finished the book "Let's Pretend this never Happened". I have mixed feelings about the book, I laughed in parts and it was inspiring in others.

Ten on Tuesday

The Ten on Tuesday topic for 3/19 is 10 Random Things On Your Mind.

1. Shoes - I don't own a lot of shoes but I do get excited about getting new ones
2. Dentist - I am excited to get a permanent temp on my implant in the front but this process seems to be taking forever.
3. Walking - I really need to get back into that ritual of walking each morning.
4. Allergies - my seasonal allergies have started so I wish the weather would stay more spring like.
5. Spring Break - starts next Thursday, I am really looking forward to it!  
6. Camping - we bought new gear over the weekend and now I can't wait to go but our first trip isn't until Memorial Day.
7. Knitting - I finished two projects over the weekend. One for a baby shower and another hat. I wish I could knit in my sleep I have so many projects I want to do.
8. Spring -  I heard is coming but we really need more water so a few more mountain snow storms would be good.
9. Student Fest - it is our big 'recital" for work it is in less than 60 days.  So much to do
10. Coffee - I sure need some this morning!

Weekend Revisited

On Saturday, after brunch with friends at the house, we headed out to find chairs for our deck.  Our last deck chairs lasted 6 years being left out in all season but last fall they finally fell apart. We were so happy to find replacement of the same variety and as now more than hubby and I sit outside together we upped the count to 4 chairs.  On our way home from errands we received a message that our favorite restaurant was having corned beef and cabbage so we grabbed the girls and went directly there. It was so awesome. 

The sock was cast on and knit while running errands on Saturday.  I was trying out the new Sock Rockets from addi. I love them and had to go get more!!!! 

On Sunday morning we had an impromptu brunch out our house with the girls and my parents. There was much laughter, coffee, fruit, bacon/sausage and german pancake!!  Perfect for a rainy gray morning here.  More errand running afterwards that ended in a new tent, sleeping pads and new shoes for me.

All in all it was a relaxing but busy weekend.  Might need more coffee today.
